Pelham Fire Department Santa Stops – Christmas Eve
For many Pelham families, Christmas Eve wouldn’t be complete without watching Santa ride through the neighborhood atop a fire engine. This cherished tradition returns this year as the Pelham Fire Department escorts Santa through the city, making 142 scheduled stops across five engine companies on Christmas Eve.
Please note that these Santa Stops are conducted using active, in-service fire engines. Routes are meticulously planned in advance, with approximately 8 minutes scheduled at each stop, allowing crews to safely complete the evening while remaining available for emergency calls. Because of these operational and safety requirements, we are limited in the number of stops we can make and cannot add additional locations once routes are finalized.
As always, Santa understands if firefighters must temporarily leave the route to respond to an emergency. If that happens, the Pelham Fire Department will share schedule updates and any delays on its Facebook page throughout the evening.
We encourage families to review the schedule in advance and plan to walk to the nearest stop if needed.
