You are responsible for calling in meter readings on the 7th of each month or the next business day. If you fail to call in a reading, an additional charge of $50.00 will be added to your account. You may receive a robocall as a reminder.
The hydrant meter is to be inspected by the Water Department every three months. Failure to have it inspected will result in a $250.00 fee. Any missing parts or damage to the meter will be charged to the account. Failure to have the meter inspected twice will result in deposit forfeiture, and you will no longer be allowed to obtain a hydrant meter.
The hydrant meter is to be used only within the Pelham Water service area. If it is used outside the Pelham Water system, the meter will be confiscated, a $250.00 fee will be added to the account, and the account will be terminated.
Pelham Water Works may increase the deposit fee based on the current pricing of new hydrant meters. Even if the deposit is forfeited, meters remain the property of Pelham Water Works.
