Join us for our family-friendly Halloween public skate at the Pelham Civic Complex & Ice Arena on Sunday, October 29, 2023, from 6:00 - 7:00 pm. There will be costume contests, prizes, and more fun for the whole family! Visit our booth at the Fall Fun Fest in Pelham City Park on Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 2:00 - 4:30 pm for public skate discount coupons and special guest appearances! Each winter the Pelham Skate School & Aspire Academy mesmerizes audiences with their annual holiday ice show. Skaters of all abilities and ages pull out all of the stops in this show that has become an annual tradition for the City of Pelham, Shelby County, and beyond. Last year we had nearly 1000 attendees at two shows and 90 skaters. With skaters from the cutest little beginning Snowplow Sam skaters to our high-level competitive skaters, our ice shows are always a community favorite and the very best way to kick off winter break! Come be a part of our show - this year’s theme is Christmas Follies on Ice!

We're thrilled to announce that Xtreme International Ice Racing is returning to the Pelham Civic Complex & Ice Arena on January 20th, 2024! Get ready to witness the coolest motorsport event you can imagine right here in Pelham. Xtreme International Ice Racing isn't just about the races; it's an unforgettable experience for the entire family. Fans will be able to meet the racers and have opportunities to participate in the fun, and as with every event you will experience at the Pelham Civic Complex & Ice Arena, there will be delicious food to go along with the thrilling entertainment.

Magic City Ice Classic

The Magic City Ice Classic is Alabama’s premier competition event, hosted yearly by the Birmingham Figure Skating Club at the Pelham Civic Complex & Ice Arena. 205 skaters from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Mississippi, New York, South Carolina, and Tennessee competed in 2023, and each year we grow! Come out and watch, shop our vendors, and cheer on our local figure skaters from both the Pelham Skate School and the Birmingham Figure Skating Club as they compete at all levels - from Compete USA Snowplow Sam up to Senior USFS!
