The City of Pelham is seeking an experienced individual to serve as a Building Inspector. We strongly believe our people make the difference in Pelham.
The Building Inspector is responsible for inspecting new and existing buildings and structures to ensure conformance to building code, zoning laws and ordinances, and approved plans, specifications.

The City of Pelham will pay all expenses towards obtaining the Building Inspector Certification within the first year of employment.
Requirements:
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- High school education or GED equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree with four years of Inspector experience and/or training with knowledge of building codes, zoning ordinances and codes; or,
- Associate’s degree with six years of Inspector experience and/or training with knowledge of building codes, zoning ordinances and codes equivalent combination of education and experience; or,
- Eight years of Inspector experience and/or training with knowledge of building codes, zoning ordinances and codes equivalent combination of education and experience and fluency in both English and Spanish languages.
- Inspector experience and/or Building Construction experieince.
Compensation:
The range $57,372.00 - $78,192.00 depending on experience, education, and other training.
