[ARCHIVED] Tip A Cop for Special Olympics

Tip a Cop News Flash

Do you have dinner plans for Friday, April 5, 2024? If not, now you do! Dine at one of Pelham's most popular restaurants and help us make a difference. The Pelham Police Department is a proud supporter of Special Olympics Alabama, and we're passionate about raising awareness and money to support athletes right here in our state.

Tip A Cop is a Law Enforcement Torch Run fundraiser for Special Olympics Alabama. It's a fun evening for officers and restaurant patrons alike. As customers enter the restaurant, they will be greeted by a Pelham Police Officer who will help the hostess guide them to their table. The officers will explain the purpose of Tip A Cop for Special Olympics and how donations will empower local athletes to realize their potential. Additional officers will accompany the wait staff, engaging with customers to answer any questions about the fundraiser.

We take stringent precautions to ensure officers do not handle food or beverages. We also want customers to know that Tip A Cop for Special Olympics operates on donations and is not a gratuity for the meal or check so as not to detract from the wait staff's earnings.

This year's event is scheduled for April 5, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Margarita Grill, 234 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124. We appreciate the owners of Margarita Grill for supporting this important mission and hosting this event. We can't wait to see you on April 5th!

Questions? Email Lt. Bernard.
