Throughout the year, we host several theme skates; however, participating in public skate sessions ramps up in the fall.
Our Spooky Skate is one of the more popular events and is the unofficial kick-off to public skate 'season.' Patrons come from all over Shelby and Jefferson County to enjoy an evening of costume contests, treats, and fun as they take the ice. For some, it's their first time on the ice; for others, the rink is their home away from home.
Presenting Sponsor - $400
- Prominent placement on all event advertising and promotional material, including website and social media.
- Discount passes to public skate sessions to pass out to your customers with your logo on the passes. The UAB Figure Skating Team also distributes these passes to students and faculty on campus.
- Logo placement event advertising on the jumbotron and all facility monitors.

- The presenting sponsor of the 2023 Spooky Skate receives the first right of refusal to sponsor future theme skates and the 2024 National Learn to Skate Day on January 6, 2024.
Table Sponsor - $100
- Host a table at one or more of our themed public skates to pass out information about your business, give away your promotional items, and reach a diverse demographic.
- One six-foot table is provided. Tablecloth availability is limited, so please let us know if you need one at least two weeks before the event.
- Electricity is available for an additional fee.
