The newest addition to our facility lineup is professional soccer - set to kick off this coming January. The National Indoor Soccer League (NISL) is thrilled to announce the addition of its second expansion team, "Magic City SC," for the upcoming 2024 season. The new team will call the Pelham Civic Complex & Ice Arena in the Greater Birmingham, Alabama area its home, adding to the excitement and fervor of indoor soccer in the region.
"On behalf of the City of Pelham and Venuworks of Pelham, we welcome the Magic City SC and the NISL to the Pelham Civic Complex & Ice Arena. We are delighted to add a second professional sports franchise to our facility and can't wait to get the season started. Having the ability for fans to not only watch professional indoor soccer at our facility but also play here is very exciting for us," said Seth Greenberg, Executive Director of the Pelham Civic Complex & Ice Arena.
This new addition to the PCCIA is exciting - and will showcase our ability to flip from one event to another in a matter of hours. The addition of soccer will have no impact on our current sports or activities, as our operations crew will be able to cover the ice with decking, install the turf, turn our Main Arena into a soccer field, and then flip it back to suit our ice sports immediately after the soccer game. We first undertook a flip of similar magnitude this last season with great success as you can see in this video Main Arena Flip.

Season tickets start at $120 for all eight regular-season doubleheaders. Season tickets are now on sale and can be purchased online.
